Education

At Freedom4Girls we believe education is essential to menstrual health.

We deliver menstrual health education sessions within Leeds and Kenya that are tailored to each individual group’s needs.

Our experienced menstrual health education mentors discuss a wide variety of topics that would not necessarily be discussed in schools, and we offer a more pragmatic approach to menstrual health and dealing with periods for the first time. We discuss topics such as how to access menstrual products with a low income, and as we work together with a variety of minority communities we respect different cultural attitudes towards menstruation.

Here’s what one school has to say about us:

“Naoise visited our school, to conduct a day of workshops for our neurodivergent and/or trauma-experienced young people. Naoise’s engagement with our students was exceptional, adapting activities to suit each individual’s needs and enabling everyone to participate comfortably. The students thoroughly enjoyed the creative activities and have been eagerly asking if Naoise will return. We are immensely grateful for Naoise’s service and would love to have them back at our school. One student who attended the first workshop alone recently looked back at the workshop photos on our iPad and exclaimed, “I liked her, is she coming back?” (high praise rarely given by this student!)”
